Pop a Plug Installation

Mechanical fit plugs are safe, effective, and reliable solution for heat exchanger tube/ Tube sheet leaks. Plugs are resistant to thermal cycling and able to provide a seal that’s helium tight. ALMUZAIN have specialized & certified technicians with the appropriate training and equipment to ensure the safety and integrity of the heat exchanger system.

It's important to note that installation and removal of mechanical fit plugs should only be performed by certified technicians with the appropriate training and equipment to ensure the safety and integrity of the heat exchanger system and to install/Remove low pressure (68.9 BarG) & high-pressure plugs (483BarG).

Installation:

• The heat exchanger must be properly cleaned and inspected prior to plug installation.
• The appropriate size and type of mechanical fit plug must be selected for the tube being plugged.
• The plug is then inserted into the tube using a specialized tool, which expands the plug to create a seal between the tube and tube sheet.
• The plug is then pressure tested to ensure it has been installed correctly and can withstand the necessary pressure.
